Trekking & Running

The 22km of trails inside the Estate are the ideal starting point for activity seekers, immersed in the picturesque and peaceful nature. Then look to the heights of the Colline Metallifere, including Cornate Gerfalco (which reaches 1000 m. above sea level), and the knolls of Montieri and Monterotondo Biancane, all excellent destinations for trekkers wanting a greater challenge.

For lovers of the green, Alta Maremma offers two facilities, with beautiful 18 hole golf courses in close vicinity. Golf Club Punta Ala is one of the best in Italy, and is reputed as one of the top 5 in Europe. Another contender for the top pick of Maremma is the golf course of Pelagone, which is close to Gavorrano and only a few kilometres from Valmora Estate.

Sailing is very popular here, thanks to the marinas of Marina di Scarlino, Punta Ala, Castiglione della Pescaia. For those who want their first taste of the sport, even for children, sailing school IVF Follonica is the ideal place to learn.

Kitesurfing and Windsurfing

The Gulf of Follonica is the perfect place for wind and water sports such as kiteboarding, surfing, and windsurfing. Thanks to its location, the area has the ideal wind conditions for enjoying these sports. For the inexperienced, there are dedicated schools to help you ride your first waves.
